Injection Molding Process Technician - 3rd Shift at Grand Rapids Controls – Rockford, Michigan

We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Process Technician to join our team!

Job Overview: The molding process technician will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing injection molding machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. The Injection Molding Process Technician will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving process issues, and collaborating with the production team to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and adjust injection molding machines to achieve optimal production efficiency and quality standards.
2. Monitor and control the injection molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to injection molding processes, molds, and equipment.
4. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement process improvements and optimize cycle times.
5. Provide feedback on processing during new tool designs and launches.
6. Program and troubleshoot robots.
7. Conduct process validations and assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all aspects of the injection molding process.
9. Document and maintain accurate records of process parameters, and equipment performance.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in injection molding technology.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in injection molding or related field preferred
2. 3+ years as a process technician in the Injection molding field
3. Scientific Molding Certification (Master molder or Similar), preferred
4. Ability to pass a mold processing test
5. Proven experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician in a manufacturing environment
6. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment
7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
8. Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving process issues
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
12. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
