Job Description
We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Process Technician to join our team!
Job Overview: The molding process technician will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing injection molding machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. The Injection Molding Process Technician will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving process issues, and collaborating with the production team to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and adjust injection molding machines to achieve optimal production efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor and control the injection molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to injection molding processes, molds, and equipment.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement process improvements and optimize cycle times.
- Provide feedback on processing during new tool designs and launches.
- Program and troubleshoot robots.
- Conduct process validations and assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all aspects of the injection molding process.
- Document and maintain accurate records of process parameters, and equipment performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in injection molding technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in injection molding or related field preferred
- 3+ years as a process technician in the Injection molding field
- Scientific Molding Certification (Master molder or Similar), preferred
- Ability to pass a mold processing test
- Proven experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving process issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
