Lead Gift Services Specialist
Position Highlights:
The Lead Gift Services Specialist is responsible for overseeing the gift processing workflow and
collaborating with team members to develop and implement efficient procedures. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity, processing specialized donations, generating timely acknowledgments, reporting, training team members, and providing additional support to the Foundation team. Lead Gift Services Specialist will develop SOPs and be well-versed in database hygiene best practices and continuously aim to optimize current processes and procedures associated with gift processing and data management. This individual will also serve as the primary backup for the Manager Gift Services
Select Responsibilities:
- Lead the gift processing team to ensure team members are adhering to established protocols.
- Oversee training of new Gift Services team members and implement additional learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and fundraising knowledge.
- Oversees Gift Services audit processes to ensure exceptional quality control standards.
- Develop SOPs to streamline and enhance the efficiency of gift processing operations and processes.
- Performs gift processing and ensures donor acknowledgement for high level contributions and specialized giving.
- Manages requests from both internal/external customers, provides additional support with reporting, troubleshooting, and serves as the primary backup for the Gift Services Manager.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of six (6) years of gift processing or data management in high transaction data processing (CRM) system. Advanced Microsoft 365 Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Strong attention to detail and high data integrity standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Technically savvy with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of gift management best practices and understanding of IRS regulations, PCI DS security guidelines and CASE reporting standards.
- Proven ability to learn and comprehend complex databases.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to
- deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred:
- Eight (8) years’ experience in gift processing within an advancement or fundraising environment.
- Strong understanding of donor databases and applications with preferred expertise in Raiser’s Edge, ImportOmatic, and Classy.
- Prior Raisers Edge/Blackbaud or other fundraising experience
- More than 1 year Development experience in a healthcare organization.
- Experience in a grateful patient fundraising setting.
