Detail Department in Reading, Pennsylvania at Savage 61 CDJR

PURPOSE:

The Detail Dept. Technician cleans and details new and used automobiles and arranges vehicle inventory.

CORE DUTIES:

• Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devises.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Application of aftermarket products
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
• Serve on the safety committee when elected
• Attend company sponsored training

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to assist in snow removal on sales lot and vehicle
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Must have a tolerance to normal shop noise(i.e. tools, equipt, cars etc)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be approved by company insurance company
• Manual dexterity.
• Good judgment.
• Must wear company supplied uniform
