Ophthalmic Technician - Entry Level at Michigan Ophthalmology Specialists – Clarkston, Michigan

Wilkinson Eye Center is hiring a entry level Ophthalmic Technician to work at their Clarkston and Pontiac locations. Typical hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

*This is an excellent opportunity for Optometric/ Opticians to transition to a comprehensive Ophthalmology career.

The role of the Ophthalmic Technician is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.

This position requires excellent computer skills and to communicate efficiently with patients, physicians and other staff members. Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule, demonstrate commitment to ongoing training and uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality.

1-2 years in a Healthcare setting working with patients

Ability to perform patient workups, perform ancillary testing such as visual field, OCT and fundus photos required

Optometry experience will be highly considered

Ophthalmic Technician preferred

Intellichart Pro/ NextTech experience preferred
