Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

ESS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues in production machines.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate machines to meet production specifications.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Work closely with production staff to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in various physical conditions (standing, bending, climbing ladders, etc.).

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
