We are looking for a Videographer/Visual Storyteller to join our team and help bring our projects, culture, and mission to life through powerful visual narratives and other rich content. The candidate should be near one of our GBI offices in Washington, Oregon, California, or Hawaii.

Position Summary

As our Videographer/Visual Storyteller, you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing compelling video content that showcases our projects, people, culture and mission, to be featured on social media and our website. You'll play a key role in shaping our brand identity, telling the story behind the work we do, and engaging both internal and external audiences. From filming on construction sites to crafting dynamic project highlight reels, your work will showcase the impact we make in our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film and edit high-quality videos on construction sites, capturing the progress, scale, and unique challenges of heavy civil projects. Content will be used for marketing campaigns and social media.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and leadership to develop creative concepts for videos that highlight key milestones, project successes, and company culture.
  • Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos, incorporating motion graphics, music, and voiceovers as needed.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company's branding and messaging.
  • Capture high-quality photos to supplement video content and support marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain an organized library of visual assets.
  • Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in visual storytelling.
  • Work on active construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed while capturing impactful footage.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and crews to schedule and coordinate shoots.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional videography and editing experience, preferably with a focus on construction, industrial, or related industries.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of video projects.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.) including color correction, sound editing, and motion graphics
  • Expertise in storytelling, framing, and capturing dynamic visuals in challenging environments.
  • Ability to operate and maintain cameras, drones, and other filming equipment.

Other:

  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel and work in outdoor environments, including active construction sites.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Creative mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
