Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming telephone calls, provide information, route calls to appropriate personnel, and take accurate messages.
- Greet students, visitors, and community members at the front desk and assist with inquiries regarding courses, registration requirements, schedules, and services.
- Monitor and respond to department email inquiries, provide timely and professional customer service to students and the public.
- Assists students with course registration processes and enters registration information into student information system
- Maintains, organizes, files, and retrieves student records while ensuring compliance with applicable confidentiality and record retention requirements.
- Provides general administrative support including data entry, preparing correspondence, updating records, and maintaining office files.
- Assists faculty and staff with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Maintains reception area materials, forms, and informational resources for students and visitors.
Additional Job Functions:
- Assists with student orientations, information sessions, recruiting events, and other departmental activities as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned that support department operations and student services.
REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to demonstrate the College values
• Must project a professional image, have excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
• Must be extremely accurate and have excellent proofreading, grammar and spelling skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment, be flexible with good public relations skills, work well with details and deadlines, balance multiple tasks, analyze and solve problems and work independently in a fast-passed office environment
• Basic skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Above requirement plus one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school
Required Experience:
Two years of office, clerical or administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Preferred Experience:
Above requirement including one or more years in a higher education environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Remote Work Opportunities:
The duties of this position require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location during unrestricted operations with very limited or no opportunity for remote work arrangements.
