Job Summary
The Sales Manager at Key Safety plays a critical leadership role in driving the company’s sales strategies and operations. This position is responsible for managing the overall sales function, which includes direct oversight of the Business Development team and the implementation of comprehensive sales plans to drive revenue growth and market share. This role will set sales targets, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired business outcomes. The Sales Manager will also work closely with other functions to ensure that sales strategies are aligned with the broader operational and marketing strategies of Key Safety.
Sales Strategy Execution
- Achieve agreed upon sales and revenue targets to ensure year over year growth projections are achieved.
- Create, define, and implement sales strategies.
- Provide direction as required to guide the sales process toward successful outcomes.
- Actively participate in the sales process as needed to support Business Development Managers through sales calls and goodwill visits.
- Support the creation and delivery of quality sales proposals and price quotes.
- Maintain relationships with assigned accounts and organically grow those accounts with new products and services.
- Maintain the highest possible level of customer service to ensure 95% customer retention.
- Work to improve the client experience, communicating proactively, resolving problems, and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
- Identify industry trends and collect and analyze data to better understand client and market behavior.
- Ensure clear communication with other members of the Key Safety team on current and expected sales activity.
Sales Team Development
- Hire, train, and manage the Business Development team to develop their capability and ensure their accomplishment of individual sales goals.
- Create and maintain a dynamic, fun, and competitive environment in which the business development team can flourish.
- Provide training, coaching, and regular feedback to team members to improve their capability and performance results.
- Sales planning / forecasting
- Develops projections on organic and new business growth
- Generates and presents sales team budget to plan for related expenses.
Administration / Territory Management
- Create sales territory assignments
- Assist in creation of weekly and daily work plans to optimize territory coverage
- Ensure accuracy of CRM records on all sales activity
Marketing
- Facilitate marketing procedures to include social media posts, email campaigns, industry meetings and gatherings, and networking events.
- Actively participate in trade shows and community events as a representative of the company, driving Key Safety’s brand as a trusted partner.
- Identify opportunities for promotional events designed to bring greater awareness to Key Safety products.
Vendor Management
- Actively participate in the identification and development of partnerships with new vendors.
- Ensure clear communication with vendor and client on all customization orders.
Other
- Work to resolve challenges associated with orders and delivery.
- Monitors delivery schedule and manages client expectations based on anticipated delivery date
- Maintain accurate and sufficient documentation within Key Safety systems (Outlook, QuickBooks, etc.).
College degree in business or related field preferred.
Five years of directly related work experience required,
