The role combines systems thinking, customer insight, technical understanding, and strong delivery leadership across the full product lifecycle.
You’ll operate as a trusted, embedded member of client product organizations, partnering closely with engineering, design, research, and senior stakeholders.
A major focus will be using AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, requirements analysis, prototyping, and delivery workflows while applying sound judgment where human precision remains essential.
You’ll also help clients strengthen their own AI-ready delivery capabilities and build more autonomous, effective product teams.
This is an opportunity to influence high-impact automotive products while balancing ambitious product goals with technical realities, program timelines, and complex partner ecosystems.
- Lead technical and product discovery across automotive engagements, identifying user needs, business requirements, platform constraints, integration considerations, and sequencing priorities.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis and user research focused on automotive and mobility experiences, translating findings into clear, actionable, and buildable requirements.
- Develop and maintain client-facing product roadmaps that translate strategic objectives into phased, technically feasible plans aligned with OEM program timelines and long-term product vision.
- Represent automotive product roadmaps and teams in organization-wide meetings while operating as an embedded member of the client’s product organization.
- Own backlog prioritization and scope trade-offs, collaborating with clients, partners, and engineering leads to make impact-driven decisions against critical timelines.
- Define release criteria, quality benchmarks, and post-launch feedback mechanisms, using data and lessons from previous phases to improve future delivery.
- Own end-to-end product delivery, producing product documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other artifacts at a level engineering and design teams can execute against directly.
- Lead sprint ceremonies and coordinate day-to-day collaboration across engineering, design, research, clients, and external partners.
- Serve as the primary product contact for OEM and Tier-1 external partners, managing communication, expectations, progress, and complex trade-offs.
- Support business development efforts by providing product expertise and contributing to technical and strategic scoping.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including AI-assisted workflows, to increase team throughput and delivery quality.
- Advise clients on adopting AI-enabled practices that strengthen autonomy, efficiency, and delivery capabilities.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute product expertise to new business and technical scoping opportunities.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a demonstrated track record of owning complex engagements end-to-end.
- Strong automotive product and interface experience is strongly preferred, including at least one automotive product taken through launch and a working understanding of OEM and Tier-1 program environments.
- Deep knowledge of agile product delivery and hands-on experience creating epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process documentation detailed enough for engineering and design teams to build from.
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms, platform architecture, API documentation, and integration planning, with the ability to partner credibly with engineering leads on scope and technical trade-offs.
- Experience conducting competitive and market analysis and user research and translating findings into clear product requirements.
- Excellent client and partner communication skills, including experience managing scope discussions, reporting delivery progress, and navigating difficult decisions with senior stakeholders.
- Command-level fluency with AI tools for research, prototyping, documentation, requirements analysis, and workflow management, combined with strong judgment around appropriate human review.
- Experience mentoring junior professionals and contributing to technical scoping in new business contexts.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across product, design, engineering, and research disciplines.
- Strong ownership, adaptability, and self-starting mindset, with the ability to quickly become an effective member of a client’s product organization.
Benefits:
- Compensation range of $170,000–$200,000, depending on experience, level, skills, budget, and location.
- Opportunity to lead complex product engagements for major automotive OEM and Tier-1 organizations.
- End-to-end ownership across product discovery, strategy, delivery, launch, and iteration.
- Opportunity to work at the intersection of automotive, technology, AI, and digital product development.
- Embedded collaboration with senior client stakeholders and cross-functional product teams.
- Opportunity to introduce AI-enabled workflows and help organizations develop more autonomous delivery capabilities.
- Global, multidisciplinary working environment spanning technology, engineering, design, and creative expertise.
- Career growth opportunities through exposure to complex, high-impact products and diverse client challenges.
