COOK SUPERVISOR - Part Time (24 hours) in Avon, Connecticut at AVON HEALTH CENTER

The successful candidates must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Ideally you should be able to work in a fast paced environment, be very detail oriented and work well under pressure. 24 hours per week including every other weekend and some holidays.

$20-$23 /hour DOE

The ideal candidate:

• Must be familiar with altered texture diets
• Must be comfortable supervising staff on some shifts
• Be able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff and government personnel.
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions.
• ServSafe is a plus!
• Must have 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees
• Must be able to communicate well
• Must be able to work independently and as a team
