Position

Staff Accountant

Location

Dallas, Texas

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Senior Accountant, Water Services and Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Accountant responsible for the Water Sourcing & Treatment segment of the business.
  • Coordinate with Business Development for timely revenue accruals and review of Water Sales Invoices.
  • Reconcile accounting data and field data to verify accuracy.
  • Build monthly/weekly reporting tools to provide visibility into the activities of TPWR for Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager.
  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.
  • Participate in the preparation of journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and check requests.
  • Review, investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.
  • Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate information sharing and proper accounting for transactions.
  • Assist in audit requests and compiling of support documents as needed.
  • Review and apply deposits relating to Water Sales Invoices.
Requirements:

Position Requirements

GAAP familiarity, in-depth and current

1-2 year of accounting experience preferred

Ability to maintain workplace confidentiality and take ownership/accountability for own actions and aspects of the job

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Current CPA or working toward CPA preferred

Oil & Gas experience preferred
