The 2nd Shift Welder (Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM) plays a critical role in the manufacturing and fabrication process by producing high-quality welded components that meet precise specifications and safety standards.
This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to accurately assemble metal parts using various welding techniques. The Welder works closely with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining strict adherence to quality control procedures.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety are essential, as this role involves working with potentially hazardous equipment and materials. Ultimately, the Welder contributes to the efficiency and success of the production line by delivering durable, defect-free welds that support manufacturing goals.
Schedule2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or equivalent credential
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper use of PPE
- Experience with automated or robotic welding systems
- Additional certifications such as CWI or specialized welding process certifications
- Familiarity with metal fabrication and assembly processes
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other methods as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
- Inspect welded joints for quality and accuracy, making adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets
- Document work performed and report issues or discrepancies as required
The required skills enable the Welder to accurately interpret technical drawings and apply appropriate welding techniques to produce strong, precise welds. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding methods is essential for adapting to varying production needs.
Strong safety awareness ensures compliance with protocols and helps maintain a secure work environment. Preferred skills such as experience with automated welding systems and advanced certifications enhance efficiency, quality, and problem-solving capabilities. Communication and teamwork skills support effective collaboration with production staff to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
