This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Paid Media, Performance Video based in the United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of performance marketing, video strategy, and full-funnel growth. You will own and scale a multi-vertical, high-budget video advertising portfolio across platforms such as YouTube, with expansion into Meta, TikTok, and emerging video channels. Acting as both strategist and hands-on operator, you will drive campaign performance, profitability, and P&L outcomes across insurance and other lead-generation verticals. The role requires deep fluency in platform mechanics, creative testing, and data-driven optimization, combined with the ability to build scalable systems and playbooks. You will partner cross-functionally across creative, analytics, sales, and product teams to accelerate growth and improve efficiency. This is a builder role designed for a performance leader who thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments.

Accountabilities:

You will own the end-to-end performance and scaling of video-based paid media campaigns, combining executional excellence with strategic leadership and business ownership.

  • Own full P&L responsibility for performance video campaigns, including spend pacing, profitability, and ROAS targets across insurance verticals.
  • Build and optimize in-platform campaigns in Google Ads/YouTube, managing targeting, bidding, budgets, audiences, and conversion strategies.
  • Design and scale multi-vertical acquisition strategies across insurance products including auto, home, health, ACA, and Medicare.
  • Develop and execute creative testing strategies, optimizing hooks, messaging angles, offers, and funnel alignment for performance outcomes.
  • Drive lead and call generation performance, optimizing for volume, quality, and downstream monetization metrics.
  • Build structured reporting cadences and communicate insights, performance trends, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with creative, analytics, and sales teams to align campaigns with business objectives and monetization goals.
  • Create scalable playbooks, testing frameworks, and operating systems for video campaign growth and expansion into new channels.
  • Identify new growth opportunities across platforms and verticals, expanding into Meta, TikTok, streaming, and emerging media.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment to ensure performance, creative, and operational efficiency across all campaigns.
Requirements:

This role requires a senior performance marketing leader with deep hands-on experience in video platforms, strong commercial instincts, and proven ability to scale complex paid media portfolios.

  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid media, or growth roles with large-scale budgets.
  • 3+ years of direct experience scaling video-first campaigns on platforms such as YouTube, Meta, and TikTok with $20M+ annual spend.
  • Strong background in lead generation or affiliate-driven models, ideally within insurance, finance, healthcare, or similar verticals.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in platform execution, including campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of video creative performance drivers, including hooks, messaging, funnel alignment, and platform-specific formats.
  • Proven ability to own P&L performance, manage profitability targets, and drive scalable growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools such as Google Analytics or Looker.
  • Experience working across multiple verticals and adapting strategies to different customer journeys and monetization models.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
  • Comfortable using AI and modern creative tools to accelerate testing, iteration, and campaign development.
  • Highly adaptable, entrepreneurial, and effective in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with additional profit-sharing bonus and performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision)
  • Remote-first work environment with global team collaboration across multiple time zones
  • Opportunity to own and scale a major performance video portfolio with significant budget responsibility
  • High-impact role with direct influence on revenue growth and business strategy
  • Access to cutting-edge marketing tools, AI platforms, and creative testing technologies
  • Strong culture of ownership, autonomy, and measurable impact
  • Career acceleration in a high-growth, performance-driven digital media company.
