This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Systems Engineer based in India.
You will join a high-impact systems engineering team responsible for maintaining and evolving enterprise-scale healthcare applications running across hybrid Windows and Azure environments. This role sits at the core of application reliability, ensuring that mission-critical healthcare systems remain available, secure, and performant across global environments. You will work on complex infrastructure spanning cloud services, Windows Server ecosystems, and application platforms, supporting high-availability systems used in real-world clinical settings. The environment is fast-paced and operationally demanding, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond to incidents with precision. You will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support deployments, resolve production issues, and improve system resilience. This is a hands-on engineering role where your work directly contributes to the stability of healthcare technology platforms used worldwide.
- Manage configuration, installation, upgrades, monitoring, and performance optimization of enterprise-grade applications and Windows/Azure-based infrastructure.
- Support and maintain core systems including Microsoft SQL Server, IIS web servers, SSL certificates, clustering services, and related application components.
- Administer and troubleshoot cloud and hybrid environments using Microsoft Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, networking, and identity services.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and proactive issue resolution in high-availability, high-volume production environments.
- Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Manage system security, identity, and access controls using Azure AD (Entra ID), RBAC, and Key Vault, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Support Windows Server environments, including performance tuning, event log analysis, clustering, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve deployment processes.
- Participate in 24x7 support rotations, maintenance windows, and change management activities to ensure continuous service availability.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to improve consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Engage with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and operational alignment.
- 6–10 years of experience in systems engineering, with strong expertise in Windows Server and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration, deployment, and support.
- Strong experience managing Windows Server environments, IIS, clustering, and enterprise application hosting.
- Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, SSL certificates, and PKI concepts.
- Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, ServiceNow, or LogicMonitor.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
- Experience supporting high-availability systems in large-scale, distributed environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to analyze complex system, application, and data flow issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical global teams.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment.
- Knowledge of cloud governance, cost management, and security best practices is a plus.
