Launching in the Fall of 2026, Recess Hotel & Club will transform Savannah’s storied Manger Building into a new kind of lifestyle hotel and clubhouse. With 221 rooms—including suites and bunk rooms—plus co-working, a rooftop pool, a circuit-based wellness club, a French brasserie, and layered social spaces, Recess is designed as a “public club”: a private clubhouse for all. Locals, members, and travelers will come together to eat, drink, work, play, and connect.
The project builds on the momentum of Hotel Bardo Savannah, Left Lane’s flagship urban resort that opened in 2024. About the role
Kilter Rooftop at Recess Hotel & Club is seeking enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Servers to join our team. Designed exclusively for hotel guests and club members, Kilter offers elevated dining, craft cocktails, and memorable experiences in a lively rooftop setting. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating exceptional experiences through attentive service, genuine guest engagement, and a strong understanding of our food and beverage offerings.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering personalized service. This individual is knowledgeable, attentive, and committed to creating memorable experiences while contributing to the energetic atmosphere that defines Kilter.
What you'll do
- Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service to hotel guests and club members throughout their dining experience
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Kilter's food menu, beverage program, seasonal offerings, and special features
- Guide guests through menu selections and make thoughtful recommendations based on individual preferences
- Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages in accordance with established service standards
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service, anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests
- Collaborate with bartenders, food runners, culinary team members, and leadership to ensure seamless service execution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
- Assist with rooftop events, member programming, and special activations as needed
- Build relationships with returning guests and club members through genuine hospitality and personalized service
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Support a positive and professional team environment while contributing to operational excellence
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience required; upscale restaurant, hotel, club, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge preferred
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures preferred
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to carry trays and safely transport food and beverages throughout service
- Ability to work comfortably in an outdoor environment and varying weather conditions
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require
