This role sits at the intersection of journalism and marketing, focusing on creating high-quality branded and sponsored content across the foodservice, hospitality, and retail industries. You will develop compelling stories that inform and engage senior industry decision-makers while meeting sponsor objectives and editorial standards. Working in a fast-paced, remote-first media environment, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of digital and print publications covering restaurants, convenience retail, private clubs, resorts, and hospitality sectors. The role requires strong writing skills, curiosity, and the ability to translate complex industry topics into clear, engaging narratives. You will collaborate closely with editors, contributors, and sponsors to produce content that balances storytelling, accuracy, and commercial goals. Responsible for producing high-quality branded and editorial-style content across multiple industry publications while supporting sponsor-driven storytelling and editorial initiatives.
- Conceptualize, research, write, and edit branded and sponsored content across digital and print platforms
- Collaborate with editorial and content teams to develop and publish articles, eBooks, white papers, and promotional materials
- Conduct research and interviews to produce accurate, engaging, and well-structured business stories
- Support editorial staff with special projects and cross-brand content initiatives
- Translate complex industry topics into clear, compelling narratives for professional audiences
- Ensure content meets deadlines, editorial standards, and sponsor requirements
- Maintain consistency in tone, quality, and accuracy across multiple content formats
- Contribute to ongoing content ideation and improvement of storytelling approaches
This role requires strong journalistic writing skills, editorial judgment, and the ability to balance storytelling with marketing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in journalism, content writing, marketing, or advertising roles
- Strong portfolio demonstrating reporting, interviewing, and business writing skills
- Ability to write across formats including short-form articles and long-form features
- Excellent research, writing, and editing skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
- Experience managing freelance writers is a plus
- Strong curiosity and ability to quickly learn complex industry topics
- Must be based in the United States
- Preferred: experience in B2B media, branded content, or sponsored editorial work
