What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain a centralized portfolio view across all experience teams — connecting individual releases back to strategic initiatives and providing leadership with a single source of truth for delivery health.
- Own the deployment governance process, including facilitating go/no-go decisions for every production release with sign-off from Engineering, QA, and Product stakeholders.
- Identify and coordinate cross-team dependencies across product and engineering teams, ensuring delivery is sequenced correctly and teams are not blocked or blindsided by upstream work.
- Compile and deliver executive reporting on delivery status, timelines, risks, and forecasts — translating multi-team delivery complexity into concise, actionable updates for leadership.
- Manage the Executive scorecard by tracking ETAs for in-flight initiatives, proactively pushing teams for updates, and investigating Jira to identify slippage risks before they surface.
- Identify, manage, and escalate systemic delivery risks — capacity contention, environment mismatches, cross-team sequencing breakdowns — with clear options and recommended paths forward.
- Facilitate weekly cross-team delivery syncs, go/no-go meetings, and quarterly planning sessions with consistent formats and clear outcomes.
- Act as a neutral liaison between Product and Engineering, investigating delivery timelines and shipped dates to reconcile discrepancies and maintain trust across the organization.
- Coordinate cross-team initiative management when work spans multiple teams, providing guidance on priority and sequencing to keep cross-cutting efforts moving.
- Support capitalization (R&D) reporting by providing Accounting with accurate classifications of engineering work for financial reporting purposes.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes — identify systemic friction points, propose solutions, and measure the impact of process changes across teams.
What you have:
- 3+ years of experience in software project management, program management, or delivery management in a multi-team engineering environment
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-team dependencies and coordinating delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Strong executive communication skills — ability to translate technical delivery complexity into clear, concise updates for leadership audiences
- Proficiency with Jira for portfolio tracking, backlog management, and delivery reporting (including JQL, dashboards, and custom fields)
- Experience with deployment and release management processes, including go/no-go governance and production readiness coordination
- Strong risk identification and escalation skills — ability to distinguish between technical risks (owned by engineering) and systemic risks (owned by the PM role) and drive resolution proactively
- Familiarity with Agile and Kanban delivery methodologies in a continuous delivery environment (not sprint-based)
- Ability to operate as a neutral party across Product and Engineering teams, building trust through accuracy, transparency, and follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field
- PMP, PgMP, CSM, or SAFe certification
- Experience in fintech, equipment leasing, or financial services industries
- Experience with R&D capitalization reporting or understanding of ASC 350-40 / software development cost capitalization rules
- Jira administration experience (workflow configuration, custom fields, project schemes)
- Proficiency with Confluence for documentation, knowledge management, and stakeholder communication
- Experience building executive dashboards and portfolio-level reporting using tools like Jira Dashboards, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
- Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve project management productivity — report drafting, data synthesis, risk analysis, or process documentation
