Manager, Technology Business Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Technology Business Operations based in the United States.

This role sits at the center of technology operations, ensuring disciplined financial management, vendor governance, and operational efficiency across a complex technology environment.
You will own the workflows that govern technology spend, including purchases, renewals, invoices, and approvals, ensuring consistency and compliance across teams.
The position plays a key role in managing software portfolios, vendor relationships, and circuit inventories to reduce cost and eliminate redundancy.
You will partner closely with Technology, Finance, and Procurement leaders to translate strategic goals into scalable and repeatable operational processes.
This is a highly cross-functional role where operational clarity, financial discipline, and process improvement directly impact business performance.
You will also lead and develop a small team, driving accountability, execution quality, and continuous improvement across core operational functions.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and continuously improve technology spend workflows, including purchase approvals, capital and operating expenditures, vendor services, and subscription processes, ensuring clarity, speed, and compliance across all steps.
  • Lead software and vendor lifecycle management, including renewals, rationalization, contract oversight, and elimination of redundant tools in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams.
  • Manage circuit and technology asset inventories, ensuring accuracy, cost visibility, lifecycle tracking, and timely resolution of billing or service discrepancies with vendors.
  • Oversee budget operations execution, including purchase requests, invoice processing, and financial workflow governance to ensure smooth end-to-end financial operations.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by translating strategic priorities into standardized, repeatable processes that improve efficiency and reduce operational friction.
  • Lead and develop team members responsible for operational workflows, ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and continuous improvement across all responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology business operations, financial operations, procurement, vendor management, IT asset management, or similar operational roles.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams and driving accountability in operational environments.
  • Strong experience managing budgets, purchase workflows, invoice processing, and technology-related financial operations.
  • Proven ability to design and improve processes, with experience in workflow governance, operational controls, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with software licensing, vendor contracts, telecom circuits, and cost structure management (capital vs. operating expenses).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and business systems used for procurement, budgeting, or vendor tracking.
