Job Description

Description:

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and support warehouse management with a hands-on approach to fulfil both customer orders and manufacturing demand efficiently and safely.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES


Accountabilities:
• Recording incoming goods
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Picking and packing
• Quality control on goods receipt and dispatch


Expected Outcomes:
• Regular audits are conducted on receipting and dispatch to ensure store personnel are maintaining good document discipline.
• Hands on leadership with 80% of work to be hands on.
• All running gear and tools to be in an orderly and serviced state for re-hire.
• Raw materials to be packed away efficiently and orderly.

INSPECTION, TEST & REPAIR


Accountabilities:

• Maintain correct de-hire process through GDR
• Maintain, test and clean all running gear and cases.
• Inspect, clean and disassemble instruments.
• Service and repair of other on-hire equipment
• Warehouse and yard upkeep
• Warehouse equipment upkeep.
• Oversee planned maintenance schedule


Expected Outcomes:
• Accurate and timely records
• Cases to be in a clean state and be available for rentals as required
• Equipment prepared and available for rental
• Warehouse, dispatch area and carpark area to be clean, tidy and organised
• All equipment assigned to warehouse operations to be calibrated as required, maintained, and fit for purpose.

STOCK CONTROL


Accountabilities:
• Maintaining stock levels
• Ensure stock checks are undertaken
• Coordinate warehouse layout and space utilization under direction from the Area Manager and Regional Supply Chain Manager


Expected Outcomes:
• Weekly rolling stock takes are conducted
• Transactions completed in a timely manner
• Consolidated warehousing operations and processes across both rentals and intercompany sales

LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE


Accountabilities:
• Shares and cascades the IMDEX vision, strategy and objectives to own team.
• Ensures staff are engaged and competent to perform their tasks and compliant with all Group policies, procedures and regional regulations.
• Raises difficult issues to ensure that they are addressed and leads team members to follow through on difficult actions or initiatives.
• Willingly passes on skills, shares job knowledge and trains others.
• Assigns appropriate support and resources to personnel to maximise success.
• Sets and provides clear direction and expectations. Effectively delegates and removes obstacles to get work done. Sets stretch goals and opportunities to drive higher performance.

• Bi-annual Performance and Development Reviews (ADR’s) on direct reports completed, ensuring cascade to full region.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT


Accountabilities:
• Utilize resources to establish, implement, maintain and improve the QHSE management system;
• Ensure risk management activities are conducted within area of responsibility, including the identification and implementation of any site-specific measures required to eliminate or reduce risk in their area;
• Ensure employees are provided with the necessary PPE, instruction, information, training and supervision to enable work to be carried out safely; and
• In consultation with the QHSE Rep, develop and implement an injury management program for injured employees.
Expected Outcomes:
• Complete Hazard and aspect identification and elimination/reduction programmes for team.
• Effective incident reporting.
• Conduct regular Workplace inspections.
• Conduct Safety meetings.
• Ensure site activities comply with workplace health, safety and environmental legislation and the IMDEX QHSE management system.
• Monitor and consult with employees and QHSE Representatives regarding any QHSE issues and performance.
• Utilize the Quality Alert system to initiate and respond to QHSE issues.

RISK AND COMPLIANCE


Accountabilities:
• Leads the collaborative identification of risks and compliance requirements relevant to the team.
• Promotes the reporting of potential non-compliance or misconduct through appropriate channels.
• Leads by example to promote positive risk and compliance behaviors to the team and to colleagues.


Expected Outcomes:

• Ensures the compliance of team members with IMDEX risk and compliance policies, local laws and other relevant standards.
• Ensures that applicable risk management and regulatory compliance processes are implemented by the team.
• Challenges behaviours that do not align with the IMDEX Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

Essential
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or slightly junior role
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications
• Accurate data recording and document control
• Excellent phone skills and manners
• Forklift ticket
• Good document control

Desirable
• A minimum of completion of secondary school is required with additional education preferred, with ability to read and comprehend technical data and standard work operating procedures.
• Dangerous Goods license
• Experience utilizing an ERP system.
• Experience implementing or using LEAN management practices.
