Job Description
Curinos is seeking a Head of Cloud Engineering & Security to provide scaled leadership across our Technology Infrastructure and DevOps organization. Reporting to the Chief Technology, Product & AI Officer, this leader will be responsible for modernizing our infrastructure strategy and operating model, guiding and accelerating Curinos’ transition from hybrid infrastructure (data center + AWS) to a fully cloud-native AWS + Databricks environment over the next 18 months.
This role will play a critical leadership position in transforming both the technology stack and the organizational maturity of our infrastructure function. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth in cloud engineering, combined with proven experience leading organizational change—improving performance management, strengthening leadership capability, and implementing modern site reliability and on-call practices. Curinos maintains an aggressive Security Posture. This individual will drive the team's vulnerability management and compliance work as a major function of the role.
Responsibilities
- Optimize and execute Curinos’ cloud infrastructure strategy, leading the migration from hybrid to fully Cloud-based architecture.
- Establish modern DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including incident management, observability, and on-call structures.
- Build and scale a high-performing Cloud Engineering organization with clear accountability, performance standards, and development pathways.
- Strengthen leadership and management capability across the team, coaching managers and developing future leaders.
- Drive infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption using tools such as Terraform or similar frameworks.
- Assess and improve overall CI/CD tooling and workflows at Curinos to help uplevel our SDLC processes
- Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and compliance of all infrastructure platforms supporting Curinos products.
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, AI Platform, Data Platform, and Security teams to align infrastructure capabilities with product needs.
- Improve operational resilience, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize cost management and financial efficiency across AWS cloud environments.
- Serve as a senior leader and advisor to executive stakeholders on cloud strategy, risk, and modernization roadmap.
Salary Range: $240,000- $250,000 USD (plus Bonus)
Desired Skills & Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migrations, particularly to AWS with advanced data technologies like Databricks.
- Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture, and distributed systems design.
- Experience building and leading DevOps or SRE teams, including implementing on-call models and reliability practices.
- Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and improve team performance and accountability.
- Experience working in regulated industries (financial services preferred) and supporting SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 compliance.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent career experience.
