Proposal Manager – Federal Small Business in Remote at Akicita Federal, LLC

Akicita Federal, LLC is an 8(a) small business that wins federal work by responding fast and responding often. We're hiring a proposal manager to own our pipeline of small business set-aside bids, from finding the opportunity to hitting submit.

• Monitor SAM.gov and other sources daily for small business and 8(a) set-aside opportunities
• Decide quickly which ones to bid, then build compliant, competitive responses
• Turn around straightforward proposals in one to two days and keep several moving at once
• Build and maintain a library of reusable content: past performance write-ups, resumes, pricing templates
• Coordinate with recruiting to line up qualified staff for staffing-based bids
• Use AI tools throughout the process to draft, check compliance, and tailor responses

• 2+ years writing or managing federal proposals
• Working knowledge of the FAR, Sections L and M, and set-aside rules
• Clear, fast writing and strong attention to compliance details
• Comfort with AI writing tools, or a real interest in mastering them
• Comfortable with volume: you like shipping, and you don't need every bid to be perfect
