Beansprouts Preschool is looking for a part-time Lead 2s Preschool Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year!

Founded in 1980 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Beansprouts offers preschool, after-school, and day camp programming and serves children from ages 1.9 to 9. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Beansprouts is seeking a part-time Lead 2s Preschool Teacher to join our Extended Day team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in education to gain experience in the field and learn from a fun, creative, and supportive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Nurture the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
• Establish a mutually respectful and productive classroom
• Engage and support children in play-based activities
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Requirements:
  • Possess an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • OR is working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related (minimum of 90 credits required)
  • OR be enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program for Early Childhood Education
  • OR a Highschool Diploma AND 5 years of supervised experience in an infant/toddler classroom
• Be able to work Monday - Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
• Should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be team-oriented, nurturing, patient, and reliable.
• Should be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting children and year-round outdoor activities.

HOURS:

• Monday - Friday: 3 pm - 6 pm for the 2025-2026 school year
• Part-time
• 10-month school year (plus an option for a summer program)

**As per Department of Health regulations, a background check and medical will be required for employment.
