This role focuses on supporting global regulatory communication efforts within the environmental, health, and safety domain, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation for chemical products used across international markets. You will play a key role in preparing and reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and related regulatory labels that help organizations meet complex global compliance standards. Working in a detail-oriented and highly regulated environment, you will collaborate with technical and regulatory teams to interpret scientific data and translate it into clear, compliant documentation. The role requires strong analytical thinking, precision, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting. You will contribute directly to improving product safety and regulatory transparency for global customers. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of regulatory communication documents while supporting broader compliance and advisory activities.
- Prepare regulatory-compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical labels for multiple regions, including the US, EU, Canada, and other international markets.
- Research and analyze scientific, toxicological, and environmental data from multiple sources to resolve inconsistencies and ensure accuracy.
- Assess chemical and product hazards based on physical, chemical, and toxicological properties.
- Conduct quality control and compliance reviews of SDS and label documentation prepared by peers.
- Support regulatory consulting activities, including training, procedure writing, and compliance advisory services.
- Assist in defining and validating contractual SDS/label content requirements for external clients.
The ideal candidate combines a scientific background with strong regulatory knowledge and excellent attention to detail, along with the ability to work across multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1–5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, environmental health and safety, or related scientific roles.
- Working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks such as REACH, GHS, OSHA, WHMIS, IATA, IMDG, ADR, TDG, or DOT.
- Experience using EH&S or regulatory compliance software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for technical reporting and documentation.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
