This role supports the coordination and execution of recruiting and talent acquisition initiatives within a mission-driven, volunteer-based environment focused on civic engagement and voter education. You will help organize recruiting workflows, support volunteer recruiters, and ensure smooth collaboration across distributed teams working on impactful technology and outreach projects. Acting as both a coordinator and facilitator, you will help maintain structure, consistency, and communication within the talent acquisition function. The position involves leading recurring meetings, tracking hiring activity, and supporting onboarding and engagement efforts for new volunteers. You will work closely with a passionate, remote-first team committed to building scalable processes that support organizational growth. Support and coordinate the Talent Acquisition and Recruiting team by managing workflows, facilitating communication, and ensuring smooth execution of recruiting-related activities across multiple volunteer teams.
- Coordinate day-to-day recruiting tasks, processes, and team priorities across the Talent Acquisition function
- Lead and facilitate recurring recruiting team meetings, ensuring alignment and follow-up on action items
- Support onboarding and engagement activities for new volunteers and recruiting contributors
- Track and report hiring metrics and recruiting activity across teams to maintain visibility and progress monitoring
- Assist with hosting and supporting introductory webinars, including attendee tracking and Q&A support
- Provide guidance and operational support to recruiters and talent acquisition volunteers as needed
- Contribute to ongoing recruiting projects and process improvements within a distributed team environment
This role is ideal for an early-career or developing talent acquisition professional who is organized, communicative, and motivated by mission-driven work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a remote, volunteer-based environment with limited weekly hours.
- 1+ year of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, HR, or related people operations roles (or recent graduate with strong interest in recruiting)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support distributed teams effectively
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable facilitating meetings and supporting group collaboration activities
- Interest in civic engagement, democracy, or mission-driven nonprofit work
- Prior remote work experience is a plus
- Based in the United States with availability of 5–10 hours per week, including some business-hour overlap
