Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide a safe, secure, and orderly environment so that quality, compassionate, accessible healthcare services can be provided without undue fear for personal safety and property. Tech will also provide subject matter expertise related to all construction technology systems to include insight, installation and procurement as it relates to each project. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family centered care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a focus on system priorities with regards to projects, collaborate with Construction leaders to manage project and time appropriately
- Be the liaison between the Construction, Public Safety and IS departments for all needs with access control, cameras, low voltage/data cable runs/ terminations.
- Understand and manage all low voltage wiring including recognizing wires that need to be removed/demolished.
- Proactively manage firewall penetrations by collaborations with Construction and Maintenance leaders.
- Install and terminate low voltage cabling such as telephone, network, and paging cables for requests and projects.
- Perform routine maintenance on all DPS access control systems, cameras by creating and keeping electronic preventative maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
- Two years of experience working with Physical Security technology, including service, maintenance, access control, and video surveillance systems.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLS
- Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.
- Small motor skills are required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ABILITIES
- Proficiency in using modern physical security equipment and systems (access control, CCTV/VMS, patrol tour, etc.), office, computer, and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.
- Demonstrates ability to use a computer and multiple software programs, including security technology, which is an essential role of this position.
- Knowledgeable with various types of receivers.
- Working knowledge of network principles.
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions.
- Ability to efficiently work with multiple different computer programs and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications

- Ability to read and interpret various documents including, but not limited to, policies, operating instructions, white papers, regulations, rules, and laws.
