Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Responsibilities:

As a part of the warehouse team, this position is responsible for unloading daily deliveries and stocking them in the warehouse. Additionally, this role supports the supplying of locations through filling and delivering order requests throughout the business day. This position reports to the location Team Leader. This is a seasonal, part to full time position.

• Ability to unload supplies from delivery trucks
• Organize and categorize product and supplies
• Ability to move pallets of product safely throughout storage areas
• Safely transport and/or store perishable and nonperishable items according to state and local ordinances and Vala’s policies
• Deliver orders accurately to food locations, prioritizing and expediting deliveries as needed
• Maintains a clean and food safe work environment at all times, including overall upkeep of warehouse and grounds
• Training to operate farm vehicles and equipment provided as needed for this position

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to move 25lbs, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 50-70lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Must be age 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license to operate warehouse and farm equipment
• Interest in food operations- experience not required
