You will join a global, high-impact technology environment where application stability, resilience, and performance are critical to supporting large-scale financial systems. In this senior leadership role, you will act as a key technical authority within production and application support, ensuring the seamless operation of complex enterprise platforms. You will work closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to diagnose issues, enhance system reliability, and drive long-term improvements in application performance. The role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, influencing architecture, operational practices, and risk management. You will also play a mentoring and advisory role, guiding junior analysts and shaping best practices across teams. Operating in a fast-paced, global environment, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reducing incidents, and continuously improving service quality. This is a role with significant visibility and impact across critical business systems and technology operations.
- Act as a senior technical authority within application support, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability of enterprise-level systems.
- Partner with multiple technology and business teams to define system enhancements, integration requirements, and production support strategies.
- Analyze complex system behavior, identify root causes of production issues, and recommend scalable, long-term solutions.
- Define and document system scope, functional requirements, and technical impacts for large-scale application enhancements.
- Drive incident management, problem resolution, and post-incident reviews to improve system resilience and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security concerns, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented and communicated.
- Apply strong knowledge of distributed systems, infrastructure, and application architecture to improve system design and reliability.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, while coordinating workload distribution and supporting team development.
- Influence technical and operational decisions through clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and expert-level advisory support.
- 10+ years of experience in application support, production support, or SRE roles managing enterprise-scale systems.
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments and advanced shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, ITRS Geneos, Splunk, or ELK stack.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture, including networking, load balancing, storage, and authentication (AD/LDAP).
- Experience working with container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift in production environments.
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL systems such as MongoDB.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, Tibco EMS, or MQ.
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrating complex enterprise systems.
- Understanding of OOP principles and ability to interpret or support application-level code behavior.
- Exposure to SRE practices including incident management, monitoring, automation, and post-mortem analysis.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience using AI-assisted tools for operational efficiency is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
