Job Description
Lehrhaus: A Jewish Tavern & House of Learning featuring creative takes on food from around the Jewish world is looking for organized & inquisitive line cooks to join their team. Lehrhaus is a project unlike any other, and one of the hottest new openings in Somerville and Cambridge.

Full are available across Sunday-Thursday nights and Friday daytime only.
Cooks of all backgrounds and levels of experience are encouraged to apply, and no working knowledge of Jewish flavors is needed. We just ask that you be passionate about storytelling through shared food experiences and eager to explore the incredibly diverse tastes, smells, and textures of the Jewish experience.
Day-to-day responsibilities include working alongside the Chef de Cuisine Noah Clickstein and Consulting Chef Michael Leviton to prep their station, execute established recipes, maintain sanitation and hygiene practices, and contribute to a positive team environment.

The world’s first Jewish Tavern and House of Learning, Lehrhaus is an entirely new kind of gathering space: a welcoming, stylish, smart, sociable neighborhood watering hole that brings people together. We’re dedicated to sharing Jewish culture through the wide-ranging flavors of the diaspora, culinary storytelling, and welcoming hospitality. Books, texts, and classes will be available to anyone interested in diving deeper into the traditional Jewish practice of text study. Lehrhaus will be a space for people of all backgrounds to experience Judaism through food & drink, ancient texts, poetry, literature, lively conversation, and more. Lehrhaus will offer a kosher, pescatarian, and dairy (no meat other than fish, no shellfish) menu to be as inclusive as possible to all diets.

Compensation:
23.00+ per hour, based on experience
6 mo $.50 raises built in.
