Facilities Maintenance Tech
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for helping ensure the continuous operations of Fiber Pad equipment and property daily. This role performs preventative maintenance on machinery, facilities repairs and all other tasks that help facilitate production. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, precise measurements and passion for producing quality products that further the Fiber Pad mission of producing the highest quality products for their customers. This role works under established guidelines and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performing assigned monthly PMs on thermoforming lines, CNC and support equipment.
- Service and repair vacuum pumps and air compressors.
- Perform basic plumbing functions such as repairing toilets, sinks, drinking fountains, etc.
- Welding for various facilities projects, such as worktables, platforms, frames, etc.
- Maintain forklifts and work with Maintenance Supervisor for external service needs.
- Perform minor electrical related repairs for machinery and facilities, utilizing schematics.
- Perform basic HVAC repair and maintenance, working with external vendors for large projects.
- Work with external vendors to help facilitate the completion of various projects and tasks as needed.
- Service and repair 3-axis and 5 axis CNC machines.
- Service and repair thermoforming machines.
- Receive work orders through CMMS, track progress, and provide status updates to leadership.
- Work in a collaborative manner with all levels of team members to provide excellent service and support for production processes and maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working around materials and equipment, including LOTO protocols.
- Assist in all phases of housekeeping to keep the facility clean and organized to help maintain a neat and tidy work area.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years of progressive experience working in a maintenance related role within a manufacturing environment, performing machine and facilities maintenance.
- Basic electrical knowledge of single phase, three-phase, and control voltage and ability to work up to 480v, and PLC knowledge.
- Mig welding experience.
- Ability to act in a collaborative manner with production teams to help troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Ability to take directions and instruction.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with multiple departments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and read schematics.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks at once with interruptions.
- Strong editing, proofreading and math skills with the ability to read measurement devices
- Strong attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude to understand and properly utilize tools with accuracy.
- Technical aptitude to understand machinery within a manufacturing production environment.
- Ability to interact with customers and Leadership in a professional manner.
- High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.

- Ability to use hands, including fingers to hold, touch, see, feel, grip, squeeze, push and pull as required for performing maintenance tasks but also performing computer work.
- Ability to perform pushing, pulling and forward exertion on a daily basis.
- Ability to have overhead extension with arms on a daily basis.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, crouch and squat continuously.
- Ability to climb, stand and perform work on elevated surfaces as required to perform machine and facilities maintenance.
- Ability to climb and perform work on ladders and scissor lifts as required to perform facilities maintenance.
- Ability to see near and far, utilize peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks being performed, as well as visual acuity to see into small and dark spaces, perform activities such as machine repair, measuring, installing various sized parts, analyzing drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to bend and twist neck to perform repairs and monitor machine performance.
- Ability to hear at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a consistent regular, daily basis.
- Ability to r lift and or move up to 75lbs on a frequent basis as needed utilizing proper safety lifting measures.
- Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person and over paging system.
- Ability to meet requirements of and utilize all PPE when required.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to heat or cold and production noise. Required to use PPE while performing job functions.
