What you'll be responsible for:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing the property's laundry operations, ensuring clean, well-maintained linens and terry are consistently available for guest use. This role plays a critical part in supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining an adequate supply of high-quality linens and providing a clean, organized, and efficient laundry operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and terry following established SOPs and brand standards.
- Sort and inspect linens for stains, tears, or excessive wear, removing damaged items from circulation.
- Treat stained linens using approved cleaning methods and products.
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens and communicate shortages to management.
- Deliver clean linens to housekeeping and collect soiled linens on a regular schedule.
- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, stocked, and free of safety hazards.
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team.
- Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and company policies.
- Support the housekeeping team with laundry-related tasks as needed.
Success Measures
- Completes assigned laundry volume each shift in accordance with company standards.
- Maintains consistent linen quality and availability with no guest-facing shortages.
- Keeps the laundry area clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and positive teamwork.
- Adheres to all safety procedures with zero preventable incidents.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of commercial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including heat and steam typical of a laundry environment.
The pay range for this role is:
17 - 19 USD per hour(Manchester, VT)
