Founded in 1876, The Children's Home of Kingston provides a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for youth and families. We are currently seeking a School Custodian to help continue our legacy of making a lasting impact in the lives of young people.

Position Summary

The School Custodian ensures that the entire school building is clean, safe, and ready each day by performing routine cleaning duties such as trash removal, floor care, restroom sanitation, window cleaning, equipment maintenance, and seasonal tasks, while following all safety and infection-control guidelines. Additionally, report maintenance issues, manage supply inventory, secure the facility after hours, assist with emergencies and special setups, and complete only those additional tasks assigned by your direct supervisor or Administration.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a maintenance role.
• Valid NYS driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
