About the Role

Thrive Therapies is seeking School-Based Mental Health Clinicians to provide mental health services to K12 students within our school-partner communities.

This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, relationship-centered care within the school environment while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

What You'll Do

As a School-Based Mental Health Clinician, you will:

• Conduct mental health assessments and identify students' clinical needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual and small-group counseling services
• Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches
• Conduct crisis assessments, safety planning, and appropriate interventions when needed
• Collaborate with educators, caregivers, school teams, and other professionals supporting the student
• Participate in student support and intervention planning
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
• Support a collaborative, student-centered approach to mental health care

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or another field that meets the educational requirements for applicable professional licensure
• Applicable active clinical license or credential, such as LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or a state-equivalent designation
• Active applicable professional license in the state where you are applying, or an active applicable professional license in another state with eligibility and willingness to obtain appropriate licensure in the state of employment
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and behavioral health needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary school environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based, student-centered care
• Ability to meet applicable background and school-partner clearance requirements
• Ability and willingness to work on-site for the position

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing mental health services to children or adolescents
• School-based mental health experience
• Experience with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, or trauma-informed interventions
• Crisis assessment and intervention experience
• Bilingual skills are a plus
