QUICK FACTS:

Seniority Level: Mid-Level, Individual Contributor

Reports To: Branch Manager & VP of Lending

Employment Type: Full Time, hourly

Location: Tumwater, WA & Olympia, WA (hybrid/remote not available)

Working hours: Scheduling flexibility necessary to meet service needs; typical hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:45PM. No weekend hours!

Benefits eligible: Yes, full benefits package available

Salary range: $23-$26.45/hour DOQ

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Account Manager I's provide professional, courteous service to members in person, online, and by phone; they function as the Members' advocate regarding New Account and Loan requests. AM I's are trusted with increased responsibility and decision-making authority, from the MSO position. AM I's process Consumer Loan requests (applications, skip payments, and streamline rate refi's) including limited judgement underwriting and the opening of new accounts (through all channels). They are responsible for collecting all necessary documentation, processing any applicable title work, and ensuring all disclosures have been provided and/or signed by the member(s) at closing. AM I's have proven their ability to build rapport with the membership as well as a keen attention to detail. AM I's must maintain knowledge on all credit union products and services and current promotions to actively cross sell/make referrals when appropriate. Finally, our Account Managers consistently display teamwork, reliability, adaptability and good judgment while meeting personal and organizational goals and satisfying members' financial needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

MSO & some MSR responsibilities plus the following

  • L1 or L2 Lending Authority
  • To achieve L2 authority, see review requirements below
  • Utilizing loan origination/core system to verify accuracy and completeness of applications
  • New Account requests via in-person and online channels
  • Processing of all Consumer Loan types
  • Interviewing applicants
  • Conducting analysis of application
  • Decisioning, or recommending decisions when request falls outside lending authority
  • Notify applicants of loan decisions and necessary documentation or stipulations
  • Counseling members whose applications were declined, explaining reasons and alternatives
  • Producing loan document packages, ensuring compliance with government regulations and credit union policies and procedures
  • Educates and offers applicable ancillary products/services
  • Facilitate document signing through in-person or digital means
  • Booking loans within core system and accurately funding in a timely manner
  • Secures collateral required
  • Performing post-closing review and preparing documents for digital retention
  • Processing of IRA transactions

SKILLS/EXPECTATIONS:

  • All MSR I, II, III & MSO expectations (except the click and referral expectations)
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and decision making
  • Receptive to feedback/coaching regarding decision making
  • Regularly achieve at least 10% of loans worked
  • Regularly achieve at least 7% debt protection sold
  • Regularly achieve at least 10% of new accounts
  • Knowledge of applicable deposit and lending regulations and requirements
  • TILA
  • BSA/CIP/AML
  • Thorough understanding of Consumer Loan Disclosures
  • Ability to review and evaluate credit reports
  • Able to provide effective advice to members to improve credit rating
  • Ability to easily build rapport with members
  • Confidence in communicating decline decisions to members
  • Talent for presenting and explaining complex products and services to members
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell additional products/services
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including effective listening, speaking, and writing.

  • University of Lending

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES,

  • Notary Public
  • NMLS Registration/MLO

REVIEWS: (to move from Level 1 auth to Level 2 auth)

  • Min time in role at least 6 months
  • Satisfactory processing and Senior Level review of:
  • Min 100 apps reviewed, (excluding CFL)
  • 75% unsecured loan requests
  • 25% secured loan requests
