This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Engenheira de Projetos based in Brazil.

This is a strategic engineering leadership opportunity focused on the technical governance of capital projects and industrial investments.
You will act as a technical authority, ensuring engineering solutions meet rigorous standards for safety, reliability, operability, maintenance, and sustainability.
The role spans the full project lifecycle, from early-stage engineering through detailed design and execution.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary reviews and collaborate with engineering firms, contractors, suppliers, operations, maintenance, and procurement teams.
Your expertise will directly influence project quality, risk management, cost, schedule, and asset performance.
The environment is collaborative, technically demanding, and focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and high-impact projects.
This is a Flex Office role, with periodic travel to São Luís, Maranhão, approximately once every two months.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and coordinate the Owner’s Engineering function, providing technical governance for CAPEX projects and ensuring engineering solutions comply with corporate standards, applicable regulations, and operational requirements.
  • Manage the technical development of capital projects across conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering phases, ensuring quality, constructability, safety, performance, and implementation feasibility.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables from external design firms, including technical specifications, descriptive memoranda, drawings, studies, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical reviews and ensure alignment between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and validate technical documentation for contracting processes, including scopes of work, technical requisitions, specifications, evaluation criteria, and contracting packages.
  • Serve as the technical interface between engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks affecting project schedules, costs, quality, safety, and asset performance.
  • Support change management, execution strategy definition, and investment-related decision-making.
  • Monitor engineering performance indicators to reduce rework, technical deviations, and scope changes while ensuring projects meet established requirements.
  • Contribute to the standardization, continuous improvement, and evolution of engineering practices and governance processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an active CREA professional registration.
  • Extensive experience in industrial engineering and/or capital projects.
  • Proven experience in Owner’s Engineering, EPCM, EPC environments, or engineering management.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating multiple technical stakeholders.
  • Strong experience developing, reviewing, and validating industrial engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of FEL 1, FEL 2, FEL 3, and Execution project phases.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering processes.
  • Experience with CAPEX project management, technical risk management, and engineering contractor management.
  • Knowledge of EPC, EPCM, and Owner’s Engineering models.
  • Familiarity with applicable technical standards and regulations, including ABNT, NBR, NR, IEC, ISA, ASME, API, and NFPA.
  • Experience with document control systems and engineering management practices.
  • Strong technical judgment, leadership, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
