Job Description
Functioning within the Hospital’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures the Home Health Secretary will review the content and accuracy concerning patient account files. Assists with office clerical functions as necessary.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) is preferred. Additional education in medical terminology and/or clerical skills is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: None required.
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Skills: Must have excellent “customer service” skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes, be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress. Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately. Possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics and follow instructions.
