Clinical Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Business Analyst based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical science, medical imaging, and software delivery, supporting the development of advanced solutions used in global clinical trials. You will translate complex clinical study documentation into clear, structured software requirements that enable accurate and compliant trial execution. Working closely with scientific, technical, and operational teams, you will ensure that clinical intent is correctly reflected in system behavior and data capture. The environment is highly collaborative and globally distributed, requiring strong coordination across stakeholders and time zones. Your work will directly contribute to improving the quality and speed of clinical evidence generation for life sciences research. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and enabling innovation in healthcare technology.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for translating clinical and scientific study requirements into precise software specifications that support medical imaging workflows and clinical trial execution. You will ensure alignment between study documentation, system configuration, and operational delivery while acting as a key bridge between scientific and technical teams.

  • Interpret clinical study documents such as protocols, imaging charters, and procedural guidelines to create detailed software requirement specifications.
  • Translate complex medical, scientific, and therapeutic requirements into structured, actionable system requirements.
  • Gather, document, and maintain end-to-end requirements ensuring traceability across study design and system implementation.
  • Coordinate requirement reviews with Medical & Scientific Affairs, project teams, and global stakeholders.
  • Support development, testing, and validation teams by clarifying requirements and assisting in issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for study configurations, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Project Management and Operations teams on timelines, scope changes, and study kick-offs.
  • Ensure alignment between data capture, clinical data management needs, and system architecture.
  • Identify risks, propose mitigations, and support stakeholder communication throughout study execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting product enhancements and operational reporting.
Requirements

The ideal candidate has experience working at the intersection of clinical operations, medical writing, data management, or business analysis within clinical trial environments. You should be comfortable handling complex scientific information and translating it into structured technical outputs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical roles such as Clinical Business Analysis, Medical Writing, Clinical Project Management, or Clinical Data Management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes; experience in medical imaging workflows is an advantage.
  • Experience translating business or clinical requirements into technical or configuration specifications.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts and clinical systems environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific and operational documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional and global collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and structured documentation practices.
