Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Materials & Inventory Supervisor to lead the daily movement, accuracy, and organization of parts, components, tools, and materials in a fast-paced repair shop environment.
This is not a desk-only logistics role. The right person will be active on the shop floor, checking work, following up with the team, solving daily issues, and making sure materials are received, issued, moved, and shipped accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate has experience leading a warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, parts, production support, or shop-floor logistics team. Aviation or aerospace experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for a strong people leader who can build structure, hold the team accountable, improve daily flow, and create a “win the day” mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support the logistics/materials team in daily operations
- Manage team workload, priorities, coverage, and daily expectations
- Oversee receiving, inventory movement, parts issuing, material staging, and shipping support
- Ensure parts, materials, & components are accurately received, labeled, stored, issued, & documented
- Work closely with repair technicians, production, quality, and operations teams to keep work moving
- Monitor inventory accuracy and help resolve discrepancies quickly
- Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and system corrections
- Help cross-train team members and build bench strength within the department
- Identify process issues and recommend practical improvements
- Ensure the team follows internal procedures, quality requirements, and documentation standards
- Review daily progress and help ensure materials are received, issued, & shipped by required deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Parts and materials are received, issued, moved, and shipped accurately
- Inventory records match physical inventory
- The team understands daily priorities and follows through
- Shop-floor material needs are handled quickly and professionally
- Issues are communicated early instead of becoming delays
- The department is organized, accountable, and continuously improving
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, inventory, warehouse, receiving, shipping, materials, production support, or a similar hands-on operations environment
- Prior lead, supervisor, or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong organization, follow-up, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop-floor or production environment
- Experience using ERP, inventory, warehouse, or logistics systems preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to identify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, paperwork, & documentation details accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to hold others accountable
- Aviation, repair station, or regulated-industry experience is a plus, but not require
Physical/Work Environment Expectations:
- This is a hands-on leadership role with frequent walking, standing, and time spent on the shop floor
- Must be comfortable moving between work areas, checking inventory, supporting the team, and following up in person
- Must be able to work around parts, components, tools, carts, shelves, and warehouse/shop-floor activity
