Dishwasher

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces and tools are sanitized and in proper working condition
- Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Prior experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus but not required

Requirements:ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS FOR DISHWASHER (Performed with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area
- Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assist others in closing the kitchen.
- Assist in set-up and break down of station. Adhere to the General Job Duties and Kitchen Rules, the Department of Agriculture’s regulations, and the Culinary Teams standards and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Meet all timelines for preparation.
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change dishwater in dishwasher machine every hour.
- Wash boards and cask irons by hand.
- Remove recycling, compost and garbage to dumpster.
- Set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Sweep/mop floors.
- Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
- Sweep up trash around exterior of tasting room and garbage dumpster.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and safe
- Work assigned packaging shifts as needed
QUALIFICATIONS FOR DISHWASHER

- Good knowledge of principles of quantity food preparation, portion control and meal service
- Ability to follow menus and to adjust recipes to apply to quantity cooking
- Good knowledge of proper methods of handling and storing food
- Basic knowledge of most food allergies and what they entail
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in execution
- Knows and complies with restaurant best practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Level entry position with potential to move up
JOB REQUIREMENTS DISHWASHER
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Drug Free
- Reliable transportation for work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS DISHWASHER
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments
- Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use a ladder, i.e., work at heights of 10+’ above grade
