Job Description

Staff Solutions Architect, New Logo

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Solutions Architect, New Logo based in the United States.

This is a high-impact customer-facing technical leadership role focused on guiding prospective enterprise customers through complex architectural evaluations and adoption journeys. You will act as a trusted technical advisor in early-stage engagements, helping engineering teams assess fit, design solutions, and understand the value of a modern distributed workflow platform. The role blends deep technical expertise with consultative selling, requiring the ability to translate complex systems concepts into clear architectural guidance. You will partner closely with sales teams to shape opportunities, remove technical blockers, and accelerate new customer acquisition. In this position, you will influence critical technical decisions across large-scale systems while helping organizations modernize their application architectures. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of distributed systems, developer experience, and enterprise software adoption in a highly collaborative, global environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead technical discovery and evaluation discussions with prospective enterprise customers to determine suitability for the platform and identify architectural fit.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for new logo opportunities, guiding customers through design decisions, tradeoffs, and implementation considerations.
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts using supported programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, PHP) to demonstrate real-world applicability.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to shape account strategy, qualify opportunities, and accelerate technical validation cycles.
  • Position the platform effectively against alternative technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
  • Support customers in understanding production readiness topics such as reliability, security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Own and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers throughout the evaluation and early adoption phases.
  • Contribute to opportunity scoping, solution sizing, and technical risk assessment to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Travel as needed (approximately 25–50%) for customer meetings, workshops, and strategic engagements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, application architecture, and modern backend engineering practices.
  • Proven ability to design and build application prototypes using at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, PHP).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and common cloud-native application services.
  • Strong understanding of production system concerns including security, scalability, reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present, whiteboard, and write clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence technical stakeholders and guide architectural decisions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience working in pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing technical advisory roles is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while managing multiple concurrent opportunities.
Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation including $250,000–$300,000 OTE (70/30 base/variable split).
  • Equity participation in a high-growth, developer-focused organization.
  • Unlimited PTO, plus holidays and floating holidays.
  • 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions (401(k)).
  • Home office setup support, internet reimbursement, and lifestyle spending allowances.
  • Professional development budget and learning opportunities.
  • Global remote-friendly culture with occasional travel for team and customer collaboration.
  • Additional wellness benefits, including mental health support and app subscriptions.
