Job Description

Youth & Family Clinician, Licensed or Master's Level

Make an impact where it matters most, with children, teens, and families!

Making Opportunity Count (MOC) is seeking a full-time Youth & Family Clinician who is passionate about working with children and adolescents, primarily ages 4 to 18, and their families.

Looking for a clinical role that offers more than a traditional outpatient caseload? At MOC, you'll enjoy a unique blend of outpatient therapy and grant-funded programming, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple youth and family-focused services.

One of the unique advantages of this position is our blended funding model. A portion of the role is supported through grant funding rather than traditional third-party insurance billing, allowing for a more diverse mix of clinical responsibilities and productivity expectations that recognize both direct clinical services and assigned program work.

You'll collaborate with families, schools, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams while helping young people navigate behavioral health challenges and build healthier futures.

Whether you're independently licensed or a master's-level clinician working toward licensure, we'd love to hear from you! What matters most to us is your experience, education, and genuine interest in working with children, adolescents, and families.

What You'll Do
  • Provide individual and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and their families using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.

  • Develop a caseload focused primarily on youth ages 4 to 18.

  • Enjoy a variety of clinical experiences through outpatient therapy, community-based services, grant-funded programs, and telehealth.

  • Partner with MOC's youth and family programs, expanding your clinical experience beyond a traditional outpatient practice.

  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, medical providers, community partners, and MOC teams to provide coordinated, whole-family support.

  • Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, interdisciplinary meetings, and professional development.

  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and meet applicable quality, compliance, and productivity expectations, with consideration for assigned grant-funded and program responsibilities.

  • Provide culturally responsive, person-centered care that recognizes the individual strengths and experiences of every child and family.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in clinicians who enjoy working with younger children and adolescents and understand that effective youth behavioral health care often means engaging the entire family.

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related clinical field.

  • Independently licensed in Massachusetts or eligible to practice under clinical supervision while actively pursuing independent licensure.

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred. Experience with young children is especially valuable.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • A passion for community-based behavioral health and supporting families from diverse backgrounds.

  • Availability during after-school and evening hours is essential, as these are the times when many children and families can most easily access services.

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule with a regular on-site presence of at least three days per week, along with flexibility to provide services across MOC programs and locations.

Why Choose MOC?

More variety. More collaboration. More opportunities to make a difference.

At MOC, behavioral health is part of something much bigger. Our organization serves families through childcare, education, health, housing, nutrition, workforce development, and community support.

Our clinicians have the opportunity to look beyond traditional therapy and work collaboratively to address the broader challenges affecting the children and families they serve.

What makes this opportunity different?

  • A blended clinical model: Combine outpatient therapy with grant-funded programming, creating variety in your responsibilities beyond traditional insurance-billed services.

  • Meaningful work with youth and families: Focus your clinical skills on helping children and adolescents thrive.

  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment: Work alongside professionals across a wide range of family and community services.

  • Professional growth: Expand your clinical experience through diverse populations, programs, and opportunities for professional development.

  • Flexibility: Hybrid work opportunities and a combination of clinical settings, with scheduling designed to meet the needs of the families we serve.

  • Mission-driven work: Join a nonprofit organization dedicated to removing barriers and creating opportunities for individuals and families.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $62,900 to $85,100

Salary placement is based on qualifications, experience, and MOC's compensation framework.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • Company-Paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability

  • Flexible Spending Accounts

  • 15 Paid Vacation Days

  • 12 Paid Sick Days

  • 13 Paid Holidays

  • Hybrid Work Opportunities

  • Student Loan Forgiveness Assistance

  • Tuition Remission

  • Pet Insurance

  • Employee Discounts

  • Professional Development Opportunities

  • On-Demand Early Pay Access

  • Immediate 403(b) Employer Contribution to Empower Retirement Plan (better than a match program!), 100% Vested from Day One!

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're a clinician who loves working with children and teens but wants a role that offers more variety than a traditional outpatient caseload, we'd love to meet you.

Bring your clinical skills, your passion for helping families, and your desire to make a lasting impact. We'll provide an opportunity to put them to work in meaningful ways.
