About the Role:
The Electrical Lead / Foreman (Journeyman Level) plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating electrical installation and maintenance projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires leading a team of electricians, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with all electrical codes and safety regulations. The role involves interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical work effectively. The Electrical Lead / Foreman is responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical issues and implementing solutions to maintain system reliability. Ultimately, this position ensures high-quality workmanship and fosters a productive, safe, and collaborative work environment on all job sites across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical standards.
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams on construction or industrial job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Electrical Foreman or Lead on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems.
- Ability to use electrical estimating and project management software.
- Additional technical certifications such as Master Electrician or specialized trade licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to plan work assignments.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and address any hazards or incidents promptly.
- Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Manage inventory of electrical materials and tools, ensuring availability and proper use on site.
- Document work progress, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status.
