• Independently investigate and resolve publication ethics cases in accordance with industry guidelines, internal policies, and established best practices.
• Serve as a key point of contact for sensitive or complex ethics matters, ensuring timely and effective case management.
• Collaborate with editorial, legal, and peer review teams to assess potential breaches of publication ethics and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including editors, authors, reviewers, and institutions, throughout the investigation process.
• Exercise sound judgment in identifying and escalating high-risk cases while ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of research integrity workflows, policies, and operational processes.
• Support the development and implementation of new tools and technologies aimed at strengthening research integrity initiatives.
• Deliver guidance, training, and educational support to editorial teams on publication ethics and responsible research practices.

• Demonstrated experience handling publication ethics cases within scholarly journals or academic publishing environments.
• Direct experience managing or investigating peer review processes and an in-depth understanding of editorial workflows.
• Strong knowledge of research integrity challenges, publication ethics standards, and industry frameworks such as COPE guidelines.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and peer review systems, preferably including ScholarOne Manuscripts or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex and sensitive cases independently.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across global and cross-functional teams.
