Patient Access Supervisor — Archbold Mitchell Hospital
Description
Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prefer a Minimum of five years experience in a patient accounting setting.
Must be familiar with all aspects of Patient Financial Services: Registration, Quality Assurance, Preadmissions, Billing, Accounts Receivable, payments and adjustments and collection. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Required Skills: Must have indepth knowledge of all third party billing registration criteria.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential.
Analytical and organizational abilities must be above average.
Communication and public relations skills should be excellent.
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace as essential functions of the job. Honesty and maintaining a professional composure in public are important aspects of the job.
Available to be on rotation for after hours on-call.
Physical Demands: Good physical and mental health. Able to work under supervision or independently a directed by the situation and under stressful conditions.

Supervised By: Business Office Manager

Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements. Customer Service Interpersonal skills Demonstrates pride in the organization. Strives to work well as a team member. Patient Access Core Responsible for the organization, planning and controlling of activities inherent in the registration officer position. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence. Manages, plans and controls the workflow of the Registration Officer position to ensure the completion of work assignments.
