Description:

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. The associate will work closely with the maintenance team and production staff to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

· Full time, first shift work. Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 6am-2:30pm

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

· Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment

· Troubleshoot equipment failures quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime

· Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems

· Maintain industrial sewing equipment, packaging equipment, conveyors, and other production machinery

· Install and commission new equipment and production lines

TROUBLESHOOTING:

· Diagnose complex equipment failures using logical troubleshooting techniques

· Identify root causes of recurring equipment issues

· Utilize multimeter, calipers, torque tools, and other diagnostic equipment

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE:

· Complete scheduled PMs accurately and on time

· Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance schedules

· Maintain maintenance records and equipment history

· Monitor equipment performance trends

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

· Recommend equipment modifications to improve safety, quality and efficiency

· Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives

· Assist with machine upgrades and automation projects

· Help reduce machine downtime through proactive maintenance strategies

PRODUCTION SUPPORT:

· Respond quickly to production equipment failures

· Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams

· Train production personnel on proper equipment operation where/when needed

SAFETY:

· Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies

· Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures

· Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workspace

· Ensure equipment meets all safety requirements before returning it to production

SKILLS NEEDED:

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS: Experience in diagnosing bearings, timing belts, shafts, cam systems, bushings, Root Cause Analysis, continuous improvement mindset, PLC troubleshooting

PNEUMATICS: Understand air regulators, solenoids, air valves, air cylinders and pressure switches

ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING: Comfortable using Multimeter, clamp meter, voltage testing, continuity testing. Should understand 120 VAC, 240 VAC, Sensors, Proximity switches and Limit switches

WELDING & FABRICATION – nice to have (build brackets, repair guards, modify fixtures)

Basic Understanding of a manufacturing environment (PM’s, spare parts, downtime tracking)

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical/electrical field preferred)

· 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical production equipment

· Valid driver's license

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed

· Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces
