Development Operations Coordinator
Location: New York, NY
New York Common Pantry is one of the city’s largest hunger relief organizations, providing food assistance, case management services, senior food provision, nutrition education, and hygiene services. We are a dynamic, mission-driven organization experiencing rapid growth and expansion.

Through an array of programs that we offer, we look to establish long-term stability for those we serve.
The Development Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our donor database that supports and strengthens New York Common Pantry’s fundraising and stewardship efforts. This on-site position is essential for the effective operation of our fundraising activities, involving comprehensive data management, donor acknowledgements, reporting, and collaboration across departments. They will collaborate across teams to support fundraising and donor relations.
The Development Operations Coordinator will report to the Database Administrator at the 8 East 109th Street location. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with an 1- hour lunch. This is a Full-Time position, 35 hours a week, non-exempt.
Responsibilities:
Database and Systems Support:
Support the Database Administrator in the day-to-day management of Raiser’s Edge NXT, including system optimizations, data security, troubleshooting, and liaising with Blackbaud.
Serve as secondary administrator for Raiser’s Edge NXT, providing coverage and operational continuity for the Database Administrator.
Assist with database configuration, including custom fields, tables, codes, and system settings as directed.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding database enhancements, system updates, and process improvements; provide user training as needed.
Assist with testing and implementing new database features and upgrades.
Data Quality:
Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date constituent records in Raiser's Edge NXT.
Update donor, prospect, and constituent information received from staff and external sources.
Perform routine record maintenance, including constituent merges, duplicate resolution, and data validation.
Participate in ongoing data cleanup and database hygiene initiatives to ensure data integrity.
Gift Processing, Donor Stewardship & Reporting:
Create and send timely, consistent donor acknowledgments that reflect New York Common Pantry’s mission.
Assist with gift processing, fund allocation, and entering donors’ pledges and payments. As well as oversee pledge tracking and the pledge reminder process.
Assist in importing gifts from third-party donation processing platforms on a daily basis.
Generate and update reports regularly, including daily Gift Detail Reports. Weekly Major/VIP Donor Reports, quarterly Board Give/Get Reports, and campaign lists.
General Responsibilities:
Attend Blackbaud and other professional development training as assigned.
Maintain the confidentiality of donor and prospect information in accordance with ethical fundraising standards and NYCP policies.
Support departmental projects and special initiatives.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in the related field is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in fundraising operations, donor database management, or related nonprofit administration.
Strong proficiency in Raiser’s Edge/NXT and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Classy/GoFundMePro, and Omatic Cloud.
Commitment to helping the communities in need and NYCP’s work and mission.
Comfortable working with diverse populations.
Experience working across diverse teams and communities.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Full Proficiency level with Excel.
Proficient with Google Workplace.
Solid organizational, data management, and analytical skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.

Pay: $30.22/hour – $32.97/hour
