Join a fully remote cybersecurity team dedicated to strengthening enterprise security through advanced engineering and proactive threat detection. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a critical SIEM platform while contributing to strategic initiatives across cloud security, data protection, and incident response. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside security, infrastructure, and application teams to build scalable security solutions that protect business operations and sensitive information. - Own, administer, and continuously optimize the SIEM platform, including the development of detection rules, dashboards, alerts, and advanced queries to improve visibility and reduce false positives.
- Partner closely with incident response and SOC teams by supporting investigations, providing log analysis, and delivering actionable technical insights during security events.
- Identify weaknesses in current monitoring capabilities and implement improvements to strengthen threat detection and response processes.
- Contribute to enterprise security initiatives related to cloud security, data loss prevention, sensitive data classification, and information protection programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's overall security posture and support the integration of security best practices across systems and applications.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry standards to continuously improve security controls and engineering practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or IT security roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SIEM technologies such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms, including building detection content and dashboards.
- Experience supporting incident response activities and collaborating with SOC teams.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
- Understanding of endpoint security technologies and modern threat detection methodologies.
- Experience with data protection and DLP tools, particularly Microsoft Purview, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO standards.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, GIAC, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $120,000 to $135,000, plus monthly bonus potential.
