Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Overnight

Full-Time | Paid Training Provided | DailyPay Available

Location: Residential Program
Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday, 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM (Overnight)

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care, supervision, and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. DSPs play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, personal growth, and community inclusion while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those they support.

No prior experience is required. Comprehensive paid training is provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and personal care.
  • Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed.
  • Support the development of daily living and independent living skills.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, community activities, and social events.
  • Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
  • Implement individualized support plans and service goals.
  • Document services and report significant observations as required.
  • Promote person-centered care, dignity, choice, and respect.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals receiving services.
QualificationsRequired
  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to successfully complete:
    • State and federal criminal background checks
    • Drug screening
    • Pre-employment physical and PPD screening
Preferred
  • Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, healthcare, human services, or a related field.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Additional education in healthcare, psychology, social work, education, nursing, or a related field.
