Job Description
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Housing Intake Specialist to assist in the administrative and delivery of program services, ensuring quality customer service, and connecting timely with participants with referrals. This position is based out of our Lewiston Office, 40 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
Starting Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr
Essential Duties:
- Act as primary intake for Housing programs, meeting with clients face-to-face/over phone and includes filling out and processing program applications, making appropriate referrals to internal and external partners, and assist clients with any additional inquiries.
- Ensuring accurate information is obtained and entered into software for processing and updates to referrals.
- Maintain current and accurate waitlists for programs, updating files as necessary and reporting out to the Housing Services Programs as necessary.
- Responsible for updating and keeping record of all contractor information, including updating required records such as licenses, insurances, and compliance documentation.

Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Associate’s degree in Social Services or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of three years of customer service
Other Requirements: Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; Must be detail-oriented; competency with Microsoft Office; Pre-employment SBI, DMV, Maine and National Sex Offender Registry, DHHS, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
