If this isn’t “just another job” but the career you’ve dedicated yourself to…

This role may be for you!

OPPO is seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced Director of Community-Based Services to lead a dynamic and growing statewide program across Utah.

Every day, our teams are helping individuals build independence, connect with their communities, and live fuller, safer, happier lives. As Director, you will lead the people and systems that make that possible.

Guided by our motto — Safe, Happy, and Healthy — this role ensures exceptional services for clients while maintaining compliance with DSPD and all applicable regulations. This is a challenging, fast-moving, deeply rewarding leadership opportunity for someone who believes quality service truly matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client intake, case management, and discharge processes

  • Coach, mentor, and support employees

  • Ensure accurate time verification and billing practices

  • Maintain compliance with DSPD, DHHS and related regulations

  • Prepare monthly operational reports and trend analysis

  • Respond effectively to changing priorities, urgent situations, and operational challenges

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience leading Community-Based Services or similar programs

  • Believes deeply in service quality and accountability

  • Ensures services delivered match — or exceed — what is promised

  • Is approachable, compassionate, and trusted by employees and clients

  • Can understand multiple perspectives while prioritizing:

    1. What’s best for the client

    2. What’s best for the employee

    3. What’s best for the organization

  • Takes pride in positive outcomes and continuous improvement

  • Pays close attention to detail (“measure twice, cut once” mindset)

  • Thrives in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, multi-tasking, and problem-solving

Benefits of Working at OPPO

  • Competitive pay

  • Health insurance with 75% employer-paid premiums

  • Vision and Dental

  • HSA

  • 401(k)

  • Parental leave

  • Generous PTO

  • Performance-based bonus opportunities

  • Positive, people-first culture

  • Meaningful work that changes lives
